Character Selection Overview

In Alternates, choosing the right character is key to expressing your style and enhancing your gameplay experience. The character selection screen allows you to browse through all available characters, view their unique outfits and details, and set your preferred character as your default for consistent representation across the game.

How to Select and Equip Your Character

1. Navigate to the Characters Section

   • From the main menu, use the top navigation bar to select the Characters section.

2. View Available Characters

   • On the character selection screen, you’ll see all characters you have access to.

   • Characters that are locked will appear in black with a small lock icon on their picture, indicating that they are not currently available for selection.

3. Read Character Descriptions

   • Each character comes with a brief description of their outfit and backstory, providing insight into their design and persona.

4. Select a Character

   • Click on the character you wish to equip. This will highlight them as your active character.

5. Set as Default

   • After selecting your character, you can choose to set them as your default. This character will then appear in the main lobby and all other screens where your character is featured.

Additional Notes

• Visual Representation: Your default character will be your primary avatar throughout the game, visible in lobbies and other in-game areas.

• Customization and Identity: The character selection screen is not only about functionality but also about personalizing your in-game identity to reflect your style.
