Leaderboards
How the Leaderboard Works
The leaderboard displays the points that players accumulate through several activities:
In-game Performance: Points are awarded for performance in matches, including kills, wins, objectives completed, and overall contributions to the team. Game modes like Search and Destroy, Hardpoint, and Domination offer opportunities to earn points based on how well players perform individually and as part of a team.
Quest and Challenge Completions: Completing daily, weekly, and event-based quests will add points to a player's total. These missions range from simple objectives like winning a match to more complex tasks that require sustained effort over multiple sessions.
Web3 Engagement: Players who participate in web3 activities, such as purchasing or trading NFTs, staking $ALT, or completing specific blockchain-based challenges, will also see these efforts reflected in their points.
Individual and Clan Leaderboards
Alternates features both individual and clan leaderboards, fostering competition at multiple levels:
Individual Leaderboard: This reflects each player’s personal points, allowing them to see how they rank against others. Players can rise through the ranks by consistently performing well in matches, completing quests, and engaging with web3 elements. High-ranking players earn various rewards such as NFTs, token airdrops, and exclusive in-game items.
Clan Leaderboard: Clans, which are groups of players working together, have their own dedicated leaderboard. Individual players’ points contribute to the overall clan ranking, and coordinated efforts in clan-based challenges or competitive matches like Clan Wars will further boost a clan’s position. Rewards for top-performing clans could include rare items, exclusive NFTs, or larger prize pools during special events.
Ranking System and Rewards
Players and clans compete for the top spots on the leaderboard, and the rewards scale based on ranking. Higher rankings unlock:
Exclusive NFTs: Top players or clans might receive NFTs that can be showcased or traded in the marketplace.
In-game Rewards: These can include rare skins, weapon customizations, or special character outfits.
Token Airdrops: High-ranking players may also receive airdrops of tokens like $ALT or $Ape, which can be used in the game’s economy.
Competitive Ranking and Seasonal Resets
To maintain freshness in the competition, leaderboards may operate on a seasonal system, where rankings are reset after a period, allowing players to compete anew. This system incentivizes players to remain active and continuously push for higher rankings as new rewards are introduced each season.
