Characters

Overview:

Characters in Alternates are cosmetic items designed to enhance the visual experience of the game without providing any gameplay advantages. They offer players the opportunity to express their unique style and identity on the battlefield.

Functionality:

Characters are purely cosmetic, meaning they do not influence performance or abilities in the game. Each character will be available in various rarities, from Common to Mystic, allowing players to showcase their most prized and rare avatars.

Structure:

The characters are divided into two main categories:

• Core Characters: These are original characters created by our team, closely aligned with the game’s storyline and overall concept. All core characters will be available by default for everyone who logs into the game. They reflect the thematic elements of Alternates and contribute to the immersive world we’ve built.

• Collaborative Characters: We integrate characters in collaboration with different NFT communities. This includes full 3D models from other collections, such as our integration with the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). These characters are added as playable avatars within the game. In addition to entire models, we may also integrate custom parts and accessories that align with the concept art of the collaborating NFT community or collection. For these collaborations, we require permission from the current owner of the NFT to use their specific assets in the game.

Exclusive Characters for Sale:

In addition to core and collaborative characters, we will also launch our own exclusive characters for sale. These characters are designed to add a unique flavor to the game and will be available for purchase through special releases or events.

User Interaction:

Players can select and customize their characters from the character selection screen. These characters will then appear in the main lobby, during gameplay, and in other areas where avatars are displayed.
