Game modes
In Alternates, players will be able to experience a variety of classic first-person shooter game modes, offering both competitive and strategic gameplay. The game modes will be released in two phases: those available from the initial launch and others that will be introduced after the Open Playtest.
Initial Game Modes for Open Playtest
Team Deathmatch: A fast-paced, action-packed mode where two teams compete to get the most kills within a set time. The objective is simple: eliminate as many opponents as possible. The team with the most kills at the end of the match wins.
Domination: In Domination, teams fight to capture and control specific points on the map. Each team earns points for every second they hold a control point. The objective is to dominate as many control points as possible for the longest time to secure victory.
Search and Destroy: A tactical mode where one team is tasked with planting a bomb at a designated site, while the other team must prevent the bomb from being planted or defuse it after it's set. Each player has only one life per round, adding a layer of strategy and tension. The match ends when either the attacking team successfully plants and detonates the bomb, or the defending team eliminates all attackers or defuses the bomb.
Coming Soon
Capture the Flag: In this objective-based mode, each team has a flag located in their base. The goal is to capture the enemy team's flag and return it to your base while defending your own flag. Team coordination is key to securing and protecting flags.
Hardpoint: A fast-paced mode where teams must fight to control a specific rotating area on the map, known as the hardpoint. Teams score points for the time they hold the hardpoint, but the location changes periodically, keeping the action dynamic.
Free for All: Every player for themselves! In Free for All, there are no teams, and the goal is to eliminate as many opponents as possible. The player with the most kills at the end of the match emerges victorious.
